The LaGrange Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity will sponsor its “Little Miss Krimson and Kreme Pageant” on Sunday, June 10, at Lafayette Christian Academy, at 6 p.m.  

Several young ladies, ages 6 through 13, from Troup and surrounding counties will be presented and will perform in several areas, including talent and modeling. Additional entertainment will be provided by several dance teams, along with local youth talent performances.  Come and share an evening of fun and entertainment.  Admission is free.  This year’s pageant platform will be shared by five talented and ambitious young ladies. 

Jekya Bell, 11, is a sixth grader at Greenville Middle School. She is the daughter of Latasha Colton and Jeffery Bell, and attends Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Luthersville, where she is active with the choir and dance team. She hopes to attend Bethune Cookman College to become a teacher.  Jekya is being sponsored by fraternity member Leon Coverson.  

Taylor Brown, 7, is the daughter of Destanie Thomas and Christian Brown. She is a second grader at Long Cane Elementary and a member of First Baptist Church on Fannin Street. Taylor enjoys dancing, tumbling, singing, reading, tennis and swimming.  She hopes to attend college and start a business as a make-up artist. Taylor is being sponsored by fraternity member Albert Gilliam.  

Aubrey Freeman, 11, is the daughter of Adrienne Freeman. Aubrey is a sixth grader at Gardner Newman Middle School.  Her hobbies are dancing and shopping. She plans to attend college to pursue her future goals. Aubrey is sponsored by fraternity members Kenneth Davie and Albert Gilliam.  

Riyan S. Shells, 5, is a kindergartener at Long Cane Elementary. She is the daughter of LaRonica Woodyard and Ortega Shells and attends First Baptist Church on Fannin Street. Riyan enjoys playing with an iPod and planting flowers. She is being sponsored by fraternity member Albert Gilliam.  

Zakiya Dicks, 12, is an eighth grader at Long Cane Middle School. She is the daughter of Lashanda Rob Dicks and attends Warren Temple United Methodist Church. Dicks enjoys dancing and singing. After high school, she would like to be an orthodontist.
