Mrs. Twila J. Bowen, 75, of Lanett, Alabama, and a former resident of LaGrange passed away Monday evening at her home. Mrs. Bowen was born Twila Jane Lawrence, Nov. 30, 1942, in Tiffin, Ohio, to the late Ernest and Grace E. Curry Lawrence.

She and her late husband Clint Bowen owned and operated Clint’s Body Shop and was a former employee of United Business Forms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Clinton Bowen Sr. and a son, Kermit Clinton Bowen Jr.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Shyka M (Lanny) Browning, West Point, Georgia; sons and daughter-in-law, Thavin (Lisa) Emerson, LaGrange, Georgia, Mark Trammell. She had eight grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Sisters and brother-in-law’s, Connie and Mike Scaggs, North Carolina, Cynthia (Terry) Starkey, Tiffin, Ohio and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Twila J. Bowen will be held at noon Saturday from the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Steve Comer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
