Your Pie held its grand opening Friday in LaGrange, following a week where the restaurant raised money for the LaGrange College Servant Scholars’ Our Daily Bread program.

The restaurant held soft opening events on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and raised $3,012 in donations.  All of the donations went to the Our Daily Bread, a student led soup kitchen that operates through the generosity of churches and local groups.

Each $50 raised for Our Daily Bread creates a meal for about 40 people.

The partnership between Your Pie and the Our Daily Bread program was beneficial for both sides.

Your Pie needed to prepare its employees, leading up to what appeared to be an extremely busy opening day.

The LaGrange College Servant Scholars needed money to help more people in the community, and LaGrange’s generosity showed. We’re sure it helped to receive free pizza — a good deal any day of the year — but there were numerous $10 and $20 bills visible in the donation box.
