Mr. Joseph Leland Hilderbrand, 64, of LaGrange passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mr. Hilderbrand was born Oct. 5, 1954, in LaGrange the son of the late Clarence Jefferson Jr. and Alice Josephine Ware Hilderbrand. Joe attended LaGrange High and finished his senior year in South Carolina. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the early 1970s and was self-employed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hilderbrand.

Survivors include his daughters Julia Hunt and her fiance Shannon Knipp and Hayley Hilderbrand and his son Luke Hilderbrand, all of LaGrange; his two grandchildren, Joseph Washington and Ethan Hunt.

His brother and Sister-in-law, C.J. III and Margaret Hilderbrand, South Carolina. Two nephews Paul and Phillip Hilderbrand.

A time of memorial and celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018, from the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Geter officiating. The family is accepting flowers or donations to the WellStar West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Road, in memory of Mr. Hilderbrand.
