A Troup County Jail inmate was charged with conspiracy to commit murder after allegedly planning to have an individual on the outside killed. According to a Troup County Sheriff’s Office press release, LaGrange resident Iesha Delshay Brooks, 26, suggested to another inmate to contact someone outside of the jail to kill another person.

TCSO Sgt. Stewart Smith said the inmate told officers about being propositioned by Brooks for the murder.

It is unknown what the relationship was between Brooks and the person she was conspiring against. 

Brooks has been in jail since May 30 for probation violation, according to Smith.
