Look around. I bet you can find someone that crosses your path who needs you. “Why me?” Because it is time for you to give a blessing of your time. I am talking about your role as being a mentor to someone. I am not talking about putting them on your checking account. I am talking about maybe help them with a kind word, a little of your wisdom about having a budget — about saving for a week of rain that will come. They need to have a little money saved up to keep them out of the rain.

Maybe you were blessed with great parents like I was. If so, it is time to look for someone to help with a little “give back time.” I have helped a few in my life that were down on their luck by helping them find work. Years ago, I let a young man who was in between jobs work at my farm. Years later he stopped by and said “you will never know how much you meant to me.” He said “because I had a paycheck it saved me from losing my house. Your positive word that everything was going to be better made things easier and Mr. Jerry, a better job did come by.”

When I meet him in a store, he always comes by and talks about the good things and always asks about my mom. I think she had him eating cake and cookies all the time. Give yourself a fresh start by giving someone a helping hand and then, my friend, you will be the winner. Hope you have a blessed day.

My wife will be the first to say pop is not good at doing repairs, but will tell you quickly I believe I was made to sell and solve other people’s problems. When you’re a good salesperson all you do is solve other people’s problems.

God blessed me with a great positive attitude, a great passion for anything I take on in life and a great ability to get other people fired up about what task is in front of them. I am daring you to share a portion of your skills you have with some young person.

You will be happier when you share what God gave you in 20, 50 years of knowledge when you pass it along. I am much happier when I get a new agent and  show them all the easier ways to sell. It all starts with that word “belief.” If you got it please take time to share it with someone else.

The only thing that stands between a person and what they want in life is the will to try it and the faith to believe it possible.
