John Brown, 63, of 102 Johnson Street passed away on Monday at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

John Brown the son of the late James Sr. and Elsie Brown was born in LaGrange.

He attended West Georgia Tech and received an associate degree in industrial mechanical interfacing.

John “Jim Dandy” was happily married to the love of his life, Linda Brown for 38 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Linda Brown; daughter, Bethany (Micklus) Tucker; one granddaughter, J’Siyah Michelle Tucker; two brothers, Danny and Larry Brown; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by five brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Monday at noon at Southview Cemetery with Brother Forrest Cofield officiating.

The family will receive friends at his home. This service has been entrusted to Mackey-Wilson-Jennings Funeral Home.
