It’ll be girls only during a youth soccer camp coming soon.

The LaGrange girls’ soccer camp is set for July 16-20, and it will be held at the Troup County Soccer Complex.

The camp, which is offered by the LaGrange High girls’ program, is available to girls ages 4 to 14, and the hours will be 9 a.m. until noon each day.

The instructors will be LaGrange coaches Andy Fritchley and Colin Ross, as well members of the team who helped make the 2018 season a successful one.

LaGrange won a second consecutive Region 5-AAAA championship this spring, and it fought hard against a powerful Marist team before falling short in the second round of the state playoffs.

This will be the third consecutive year the camp has been offered, and dozens of girls have participated the previous two summers.

The cost is $80, and anyone looking to register can go to www.lagrange.soccer

BASKETBALL: The Blue Star Summer Basketball Camp will be held at the Mike Daniel Recreation Center from July 16-19.

The instructors will include LaGrange boys’ head coach Mark Veal, LaGrange girls’ coach Stephen Tuck, as well as other coaches and players from the school’s teams.

The hours will be from 9 a.m. until noon each day, and the camp is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 13.

Registration forms are available at the Mike Daniel Recreation Center.
