Donald Garrett Rogers

Donald Garrett Rogers passed away Friday.

He was born March 10, 1946, in Franklin, Georgia, to the late Eula Rogers Garrett and Artie C. Stephens, and was reared by the late Eugene Garrett.

He was a graduate of Mary Johnson High School and a proud U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include his daughters, Angela Rogers Thomaston of Franklin, Georgia, and Rachel E. Rogers of Amarillo, Texas; brothers, Joe Garrett and Buford Garrett of Decatur, Georgia; Henry Stephens and Columbus Stephens of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Sylvia (Willie) Patterson of Decatur, Georgia; Eloise Dillard of Stone Mountain, Georgia; Mary Ethel (John) Harvey of Dayton, Ohio; and Vivian (Richard) Stephens-Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of relatives and friends.

The service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

The excellent care of Mr. Rogers is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
