Evelyn Lorraine (Nissen) Luebbers slipped away peacefully on June 29, 2018, at the age of 92. She was born on Dec. 10, 1925, in Page, Nebraska, to Peter and Alma (Fuelberth) Nissen, the youngest of six children.

She is survived by her sister Laverne, now 98. Evelyn married George M. Luebbers on Nov. 24, 1944, in Osmond, Nebraska, where they raised a family of 10 children. 

After moving to Tallahassee, Evelyn worked as the night registrar for Lively Vocational Technical School until retiring in 1990. Her last years were spent quietly at Haven of Care in Aurora, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband George and son Dennis. The remaining nine children, 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, will miss her quick wit, bright eyes and easy smile.
