Kenneth McCurry Herring, age 77, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away on Thursday Aug. 2, 2018, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. Kenneth was born July 16, 1941, in Orlando, Florida, to the late Asben Herring and Ouida Queen Givens Herring.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Sharon A. Herring; son, Kevin Herring; daughter, Margaret Ann McBride; step-daughters, Jennifer Futrell (Ron) and Toni Schillo; granddaughter, Ashleigh Dahl (Eric); grandson, AJ Finton; granddaughters, Alecia McBride, Karin McBride and Savannaha Herring. He had three great-grandchildren.

Kenneth was in the U. S. Navy for 6 years and served on the U.S.S. Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Kenneth worked for Winter Park Telephone Company and retired in 1993 as engineer after many years of employment.

A memorial service in LaGrange will be announced later by Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
