The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Thursday morning at Waffle House on Hamilton Road.

According to a press release, a black male suspect used a handgun and left the location on foot with an undetermined amount of money. It was unclear whether he got into a vehicle, according to TCSO. The robbery took place around 3:10 a.m.

The suspect was described as a black male, medium skinned, about 5-foot-8, with a slim athletic build. He was wearing a black toboggan type hat, black shirt, black pants and a black, off-brand style version of “Crocs.” He had also had a wrap on his face.
