High school football season will start this next week in LaGrange and around the state of Georgia. This past week Troup, Callaway and LaGrange held scrimmages as they prepared for the upcoming season.

A lot goes on behind the scenes for all sports, but football holds a special place in our heart in the south. Conversations often shift to college football and the NFL, but nothing can replace the community aspect of high school football.

We hope to see big crowds at Callaway Stadium and at Lafayette Christian and Unity Prep games this year, not only to yell in support for the players, but for the cheerleaders and band as well.

It should be a great season. Good luck to all local teams this year.
