WEST POINT — A ticket for a $150,000 jackpot was sold last week at a local store.

The winning Fantasy 5 ticket was sold at West Point Corner Store, 607 4th Ave., on Thursday, Aug. 9. The numbers are 08-09-20-23-42.

As of Tuesday, no one had claimed the prize.

This isn’t the first time a lottery ticket bought in West Point has been in the news in 2018.

In January, lottery officials confirmed that a Mega Millions ticket was sold at Summit Grill, located at 1800 Highway 18, in August 2017.

The ticket remained unclaimed through the Feb. 4 deadline. The same store also saw a winning $125,000 Fantasy 5 ticket back in February.

Fantasy 5 tickets can be purchased at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Georgia residents also can purchase Fantasy 5 tickets via the Georgia Lottery app or online.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $19.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
