It was a winning debut.

The Unity Preparatory Academy of West Georgia played its first-ever regular-season game on Friday, and it thumped John Hancock 28-10 on the road.

The Rams showed off their big-play ability in the win.

Quarterback Devin Lindsey looked comfortable running the offense, and he threw for 245 yards with a pair of touchdowns.

Damarco White, a wide receiver last season, moved to running back, and he ran for 182 yards on six carries with a touchdown.

Tra Jackson added a rushing touchdown for the Rams.

Unity Prep will be in Columbus on Friday to play Calvary Christian, and it will make its home debut on Sept. 7 against Douglasville.
