The Unity Prep Rams will look for more road success this week.

Unity Prep traveled to Sparta last week, and it beat John Hancock 28-10.

Unity Prep’s players and coaches will board the bus again on Friday, this time for a road trip to Columbus to take on Calvary Christian.

“This team, it’ll be a tough matchup,” Unity Prep head coach Dra Bray said. “From what I’ve seen on film, they look fundamentally sound.”

Unity Prep showed off its big-play ability against John Hancock.

Quarterback Devin Lindsey was superb, completing 11 passes for 245 yards with two touchdowns.

Tra Martin was Lindsey’s favorite target.

Martin had six catches for 162 yards, and he had scoring receptions of 45 and 63 yards.

Damarco White headlined the rushing attack with six carries for 185 yards with a touchdown, and Tra Jackson had a 10-yard scoring run.

On defense, Unity Prep was led by Darius Copeland, White, Martin, and Tra Rossier.

Bray has been pleased with what he’s seen from the players in practice, and he’s hoping a lack of depth won’t be an issue.

“They’re improving every week,” Bray said. “We’re low on numbers, but you’ve got to have heart to just play the whole game. Hopefully there won’t be injuries. We can’t afford injuries.”
