LaGrange police are investigating after 25 iPhones and a Roomba vacuum were stolen from the Walmart on New Franklin Road Wednesday. According to the police report, an unknown man entered the store at 2 a.m., went behind the electronics counter and put the phones and vacuum in a cart. The items have a total value of $25,299.

The suspect then went to the fishing section and disabled the emergency exit door by removing its battery, according to the police report. The suspect then placed the phones and vacuum outside the door and left the shopping cart near the bike aisle and left the store.

According to the police report, the suspect drove his truck to the emergency exit, took the items he left there and drove away.

“He probably has prior knowledge of Walmart’s layout,” LPD Det. Ley Wynne said.

According to Wynne, the suspect is described as African American and 6-foot-2-inches tall.

Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to call the LPD at (706) 883-2603.
