Ronald Lee Gordon, 77, passed away August 22, 2018.

The LaGrange native was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church.  He retired from Arizona Chemical after 44 years.

Ron was the patriarch of his family. He was never absent in a time of need. To those close to him, he was considered “Superman.” Throughout his life, he loved to spend time with his family, travel with his wife, coach his children’s ball teams, be involved in musical programs as well as teach Sunday School at church, and research his family’s genealogical history.  Ron touched the lives of many over his 77 years here on Earth. He will be missed by his many friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Myrtis Gordon.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gordon; children, Chris Gordon, Keith (DeAnne) Gordon and Melva (Tom) Brower; siblings, Bill Gordon, Don Gordon and Ann Austinson; nine grandchildren, Kristen Sanks, Ashlee Goldman, T.W. Brower, Jordan Parr, Matthew Gordon, Allison Reid, Allisa Gordon, Lauren Gordon and Avery Gordon; six great-grandchildren, Emma Brower, Rylie Sanks, Ella Sanks, Carleigh Sanks, Aria Reid and Maverick Gordon; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Saturday followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
