Mr. Ruben Harold Perdue

Mr. Ruben Harold Perdue of LaGrange passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice of South Georgia in Valdosta on Sept. 8, 2018. Mr. Perdue born Aug. 16, 1934, in Troup County, Georgia, the son of the late George Franklin and Annie Lizzie Hart Perdue.

He was the former owner of Perdue Trucking and had made his home in Valdosta for a short time and was a member of Flat Shoals Salem Road Baptist Church. Ruben was predeceased by his sisters and brothers: Annie Lou Thompson, Eunice Melissa Murphy, George Ulver Perdue, Ehterlene Elsie Armstrong, Robbie Frances Armstrong, Lois Whatley and Autrey Franklin Perdue.

Survivors include his children: Harold Scott Perdue, Ruben Marc Perdue, Paula Perdue Hutchinson, Penny Perdue Williams, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Ruben Perdue will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, from the Flat Shoals Salem Road Baptist Church with The Rev. Randy Warren officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home (Wednesday) evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Flat Shoals Salem Road Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Perdue. Funeral Services for Mr. Ruben Perdue are by Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home, 506 Hill Street, LaGrange, Georgia (706) 884-5626.
