The Troup County Board of Commissioners announced this week that Troup County has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its comprehensive annual financial report.

This award is the highest form of recognition available through governmental accounting and financial reporting, and it is the 29th consecutive year that Troup County has been awarded this achievement. 

The award represents a significant accomplishment for Troup County and its finance department.

H.C. Cashwell, CFO of Troup County Board of Commissioners, said his department is very proud of their sequential success. 

“With large thanks to the Troup County Finance Staff, J.K. Boatwright & Co. P.C, and other county offices for their cooperation and assistance in preparing the comprehensive annual financial report, we are honored to receive this award and will strive to continue our success for the next fiscal year,” Cashwell said.
