Mrs. Ila Mae Bryant Martin, age 90, of LaGrange, was received into Heaven on Sept. 23, 2018.  

Mrs. Martin was born on May 17, 1928, in LaGrange to the late Marcus Lester Bryant and Evia Runels Bryant. She worked for many years at Playtex before retiring from the Georgia Department of Labor. She was a member of the Business Girl’s League, an emeritus member of the Order of the Eastern Star of LaGrange and a member of East LaGrange Baptist Church where she was a choir member and pianist for many years.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Martin, sister, Elsie Lee Bryant Johnson, her brother, David Bryant and son in law, Charles Ray Nixon.  Survivors include her daughter, Alesia Nixon; grandchildren, Robert Edward Riley (Scarlet) and Jennifer Riley; great grandchildren, Kinley Riley, Isabella Alvarado, Jack Riley and Charlie Riley; extended family and friends.  

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating.  Interment to follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service hour at the funeral home.
