It’s game day.

The Callaway Cavaliers and LaGrange Grangers will both be on the road for region tests on Friday, while the Unity Preparatory Academy of Rams will be on their home field in Hogansville.

Callaway, coming off last week’s big 37-25 victory over previously unbeaten Bremen, will visit Lamar County for a Region 5-AA game.

Callaway (5-1 overall) is in first place in the region with a 2-0 record, while Lamar County (3-3) is 1-1 in the region.

Also today, LaGrange faces a tough task against a Cartersville team that hasn’t lost a regular season game since 2014.

LaGrange (1-5) is 0-2 in Region 5-AAAA, but it lost those games by a combined six points, including last week’s 9-6 loss to Cedartown.

Cartersville (6-0) is 2-0 in the region as it attempts to go 10-0 in the regular season for the fourth consecutive year.

Unity Prep will put its 3-3 record on the line against Community Christian (Stockbridge), which is 4-2.

Troup and Lafayette Christian are off this week.
