A LaGrange woman died in an accident on West Point Road Thursday morning.

Samantha Millhauser, 29, was killed in the accident, according to Troup County Chief Deputy Coroner Erin Hackley.

According to Sgt. Maurice Raines with Georgia State Patrol, the Troup County Sheriff’s Office notified troopers  at approximately 1:54 a.m. of a possible fatal accident near the 3400 block of West Point Road. At 2:04 a.m., the TCSO and responding fire departments confirmed to GSP it was a fatal crash, with one patient suffering a head injury. All of West Point Road was shut down when the trooper arrived on the scene.

No other information has been released about the victim.
