Mr. Clarence Ford

Mr. Clarence Ford, 84, of LaGrange, died on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Ford was born Feb. 3, 1934, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late James Andrew and Cora Bell Kelly Ford.

“T-Model,” as he was affectionately known, was a member of Creekside Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from West Point Stevens (Dunson Mill) with 24 years of service and also worked for Piggly Wiggly for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ruth Ford; daughter, Deborah (Gordon) Hicks; sons, William James (Kimberly) Ford and Donald Glenn (Brandy) Ford; a brother, James Gerald (Linda) Ford; niece, Dena McAfee; grandchildren, Jonathan Ford, Cheyenne Falcon, Jeffrey Ford, Joseph Ford and Dakota Ford; other relatives and friends.

The gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Bryan Geter and the Rev. Ray Tarwater officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens.
