On Saturday, Hogansville enjoyed the first of its festivities leading up to the annual Hummingbird Festival with the Tower Trail 5k.

The annual race was sponsored by All Pro Auto Group and took 89 runners through one of Hogansville’s oldest residential neighborhoods.

This year’s winners were:

The next event leading up to the Hummingbird Festival will be the Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade on Saturday starting at Calvin Hipp Veterans Memorial Park. Registration for the parade starts at 10 a.m. The parade starts at 11 a.m. The parade is free of charge and costumes are encouraged. 

There will be a contest for dogs with best costume, best kisser, best behaved and most resembling owner.

The Hummingbird Festival will be on Oct. 20 and 21 in downtown Hogansville.
