The Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio are scheduled to perform at Pure Life Studios, an acoustic listening room in the Hillside neighborhood, on Oct. 18.

The trio’s recordings — “Still She Will Fly” (2015) and “Singin’” (2017) — as well as their live performances feature Heather Pierson’s multi-genre songwriting and the trio’s three-part vocal harmonies.

Pierson (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, tenor banjo, piano) is an award-winning singer, songwriter, pianist and performer. With eight previous solo recordings under her belt, Pierson’s songwriting and voice have catapulted her into the spotlight.

Davy Sturtevant (cornet, dobro, fiddle, mandolin, harmony vocals) is a veteran touring artist, producer, engineer, songwriter and performer.

Shawn Nadeau (bass, harmony vocals) brings a rock solid thump and nearly two decades of performing experience to the trio, informed by a wide spectrum of rhythmic and melodic sensibilities ranging from rockabilly to reggae to jazz.

The concert will take place at Pure Life Studios, located at 206 Clark St. in the Hillside neighborhood of LaGrange. Venue doors open at 6:30 p.m. and music starts at 7:30 p.m.

The concert costs $20 cash at the door, or guests can buy tickets to secure a seat at Purelifelagrange.com. Pure Life Studios is brown bag approved, and coolers are welcome.
