Patricia Anne “Pat” Reason

Patricia Anne “Pat” Reason, age 78, of Hogansville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at WellStar West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange.

Mrs. Reason was born April 10, 1940, in LaGrange, Georgia, the daughter of Elmer Earl Sebaugh and Mary Alice McDonald Sebaugh. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was well known throughout the LaGrange and Hogansville area for her work as a talented seamstress. Through the years, she was employed by several area businesses including Carter’s and Mansours but will be remembered best for the work done for individuals, such as weddings, proms and numerous other special events. Mrs. Reason lived an exemplary life of a Christian wife and mother. She especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and strove to manifest in them by example the importance of faith and a Christian life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in March 2018 by her husband of 60 years, James Lewis Reason, Jr., and a brother, John Earl Sebaugh.

Survivors include her three children; Melody Rodgers (Dennis) and James L. “Jamie” Reason, III, all of Hogansville, and Sallie Taylor (Randy) of LaGrange; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Stan Sebaugh (Gayla) of Griffin, Georgia, Lee Sebaugh (Cindy) of Columbus, Georgia; a sister, Carol Cassey (Tucker) of Cedartown, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Wanda Kemp (Gerald) of LaGrange; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 193 Jandale Drive, LaGrange.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
