The Troup County Sheriff’s Office will host its ninth annual car show on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pyne Road Park. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.

The car show is open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles. In the past, there have been about 100 participating vehicles.

Pre-registration costs $15, registration on the day of the event costs $20, and registration for vendors is $30.

Trophies will be awarded for the categories of Best Car, Best Truck, Best Motorcycle and Sheriff’s Choice. There will also be food, a money tree, raffles and music.

Over the years, several thousand dollars have been raised for Pineland, the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Home. Proceeds from this year’s car show will benefit Pineland as well.

“[Our goal] is to raise money so we can give that donation to Pineland to help offset some of their costs,” said Sgt. Stewart Smith with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.

“If you are available, come out and enjoy the day with us.”
