Mrs. Bonnie Kay McClung Briscoe

Mrs. Bonnie Kay McClung Briscoe, 63, of Royston, Georgia, passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at the St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, Georgia.

Mrs. Briscoe was born in LaGrange, Georgia, on Feb. 20, 1955, daughter of the late Archie McClung and the late Margaret Louise Wade McClung. She was a housekeeper having worked for Emmanuel College for 20 years and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Royston, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Fletcher Briscoe; brothers, Louie McClung and Joe McClung; and sisters, Ruth Freeman and Carol Blankenship.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kandy and Jerald Bradshaw of LaGrange, Georgia; step-son and daughter-in-law, Kelvin and Kim Briscoe of Canton, Georgia; special friend, Robert McCollum of Royston, Georgia; sisters, Shelby McClung and Patricia Storey of LaGrange, Georgia; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mrs. Briscoe was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery at noon on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, with the Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.
