Mrs. Alene Waugh, 100, of LaGrange passed away Wednesday morning at Florence Hand Home. Mrs. Waugh was born Sarah Alene Morrow, Aug. 26, 1918, in Cove Creek North Carolina. Mrs. Waugh was a member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and a former employee of Elm City Plant of Milliken and Company.  Alene was preceded in death by her Husband, Charlie Woodrow Waugh and son-in-law, Jim L. Moore and grandson, Lamar Keith Moore.

Survivors include two daughters, one son-in-law and son, Gail and Edward Stone of McDonough; Jewell Waugh Moore of LaGrange; Coymack Waugh of LaGrange; sweet friend of family, Pat Waugh of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Kim and Glenn Bates of Stockbridge, Chad and Valeria Moore of Carrollton, Randy Waugh of LaGrange, Shane Waugh of LaGrange; one granddaughter-in-law, Melissa Phelps Moore of LaGrange; four great grandchildren, Jake and Alexis Bates of Stockbridge, Wil Bates of Atlanta, Anderson Moore of LaGrange, Amelia Klaire Moore of LaGrange.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alene Waugh will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday from the Franklin Road Baptist Church with the Reverend’s Frank Sledge and Andy Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the service hour of  3 p.m. Entombment will follow in Shadowlawn Mausoleum. The family respectfully request that donations be made to the Charitable Fund of Florence Hand Home.
