Willard W. Mann, age 93, died Oct. 31, 2018. He was born in LaGrange, Georgia on Nov. 11, 1924.

He was a graduate of LaGrange High School. He served in the United States Army, 14th Armored Division, 62nd Armored Infantry Balttalion. He was severely wounded in France on Nov. 22, 1944. He married his wife, Opal, on April 5, 1947. He was a graduate of Marsh Business College, Atlanta, Georgia, in 1948. A baby girl, Cheryl was born to them on July 7, 1952. He retired as Postmaster at Riverdale, Georgia in 1973. He attended the Southeastern School of Evangelism, Doraville, Georgia, graduating in 1977 with a Bachelor Degree in Sacred Literature. He attended Atlanta Christian College in East Point, Georgia, graduating in 1983, cum laude, with a bachelor degree in Christian Ministries. He preached at many congregations of Churches of Christ as supply minister for about ten years. He served as a deacon for the Hapeville Church of Christ in Hapeville, Georgia. He service as a Deacon for the Jonesboro Road Church of Christ, Union City, Georgia. He served as an elder for the Hogansville Church of Christ in Hogansville, Georgia. He was a life time member of the Disabled American Veterans. The Veterans of Foreign Wars, The American Legion and also The Military Order of The Purple Heart. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his Daughter, Cheryl Killian and her husband Charles, and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home with Minister of the Gospel Elmer McCoy officiating. Internment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at the funeral home.
