In the weekend edition of The LaGrange Daily News, we wrote a story about the LaGrange Police Department asking for the public’s help in a 15-year-old cold case. William Kent Adams, of Arcadia, Missouri was found unresponsive  in his vehicle on the 600 block of Ridley Avenue on April 15, 2003.

Williams was found with a bullet in his chest, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations ruled his death as a homicide. After investigating the scene, the LPD found persons of interest, but never developed a suspect.

LPD Det. Ley Wynne said the issue with the case is because Williams isn’t from the area, thus no one really knew him or his connections. Williams was in the city to help clean up railroads for work, and was only in LaGrange for a few days.

Now is the time to come forward and help the LPD. Williams’ family still needs closure from what happened, and there needs to be justice to this case.

It’s been 15 years, people change or move from the area, but the case is still unresolved. Anyone who may know something should come forward to help the police. Tips can be given anonymously to the Troup County Crime Stoppers.
