Marilyn Adelle Taylor Allen, age 79, of LaGrange, passed away on Nov. 2, 2018, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. She was born on July 10, 1939, to the late Willard Taylor and Adelle Hunter Taylor in LaGrange.

She retired from the Troup County Board of Education where she was the superintendent administrator assistant. Survivors include her husband, George Terrell Allen; daughters, Lisa Shields (Mike), Cherie Bebow (Peter); sisters, Carol Tally (Stan), Brenda Townsend (Danny); grandchildren, Megan Shields, Jordan Shields Hartzog (Marshall), Emily Shields, Peyton Bebow, Brock Bebow; aunt, Elizabeth McWilliams; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with the Rev. Max McCord and the Rev. Don Ellison officiating. Family will have visitation from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
