Patrick Crews was re-elected to serve as the Troup County Board of Commissioners chairman on Tuesday. He ran unopposed in the general election.

Crews won the primary against former commissioner Tripp Foster in May, and Crews said that he looks forward to continuing to serve the people of Troup County in the upcoming term. Crews initially took office in January 2015.

“I certainly appreciate the citizens of Troup County giving me another term,” Crews said. “I have enjoyed my first term in office, and there are several projects that we have in the works, like SPLOST projects, the court system [and the proposed division of the Coweta Judicial Circuit]. We were in Atlanta on [Monday] talking about U.S. 27 and trying to fix that curve. There are a lot of projects to get involved in, and I’d just like to finish those and work on new ideas that benefit Troup County.”

Crews and his wife, Pam, have three children.
