On Tuesday, Randy Nix (R-LaGrange) was re-elected to represent District 69 in the Georgia House of Representatives. Nix ran unopposed.

Nix was initially sworn into office on Jan. 8, 2007, and he said that he looks forward to continuing the work he started during the previous legislative session.

“I look forward to working to keep Georgia the ‘Number One State for Business’ and a great place to live, work and raise a family,” Nix said. “I look forward to the upcoming legislature picking up where the previous one left off, continuing to create the environment that helps Georgia attract business and create jobs. I will continue to work to improve education at all levels to ensure that our students are fully prepared to participate in a competitive workforce.”

District 69 encompasses parts of Carroll, Heard and Troup Counties. Nix and his wife, Debra, have two children, Julie Nix Farr and Jess R. Nix.
