Two loquat trees and three Limelight hydrangea shrubs were planted in the sunny location against the wall of the former Feed and Seed store, which is now the LaGrange Art Museum’s Center for Creative Learning.

“The fourth quarter of our fiscal year is always financially lean, but autumn is also the ideal time to plant trees and shrubs,” said Laura Jennings, the museum’s executive director. “What a blessing for the museum that the Willowood Garden Club members were willing to not only donate the plants but also the planting.”

Horticulturist Helen Phillips of LaGrange volunteered her expertise and specified which trees and shrubs would thrive in that setting.

Once funding is secured, a lighted sign will be designed and installed, which will complete the final phase of the parking lot project.
