The 26th annual March of Dimes Night Walk through Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens will be held this Saturday.

The event will benefit the March of Dimes, an organization focused on advocating for policies that can better protect the health of mothers and babies.

“[This event] is a great way to see the lights, it’s enjoyable, and it’s a great way to kick off the holiday season,” said Carla Starling, the development manager for the March of Dimes.

Fantasy in Lights leads participants through an outdoor five-mile trail of lighted holiday display scenes. It is imperative that walkers dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather.

Walkers can choose to be picked up by a shuttle bus after the first five miles, or they can walk the entire route, a total of seven miles. The last two miles are not lighted.

Participants can choose their walk time of 6 p.m., 6:40 p.m. or 7:20 p.m.

No vehicles will be allowed on the course this night.

Tickets will be available for purchase online until 11:45 p.m. on Friday. They can also be purchased at Callaway Gardens on the day of the event.

Tickets are $21 for adults, $10.50 for children ages six to twelve and free for children under five.

“The March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies,” Starling said. “[This event] helps an organization that’s out there for every mom and baby, fighting for their health.”
