Mrs. Donna Peacock Garrett

Donna Peacock Garrett, 66, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Piedmont Hospital in Newnan, Georgia.

Mrs. Garrett was born in Manchester, Georgia, the daughter of Billy Herman Peacock and Freddie Elliott Peacock on Feb. 16, 1952. She worked as the Assistant Manager for Rice Printing Co. for 20 years and then at Emory Clark-Holder Clinic in LaGrange as the Insurance Clerk until retirement. Mrs. Garrett was formerly a member of Northside Baptist Church in Manchester but was most recently a member of Hilyer Baptist Church in LaGrange. She loved sports, specifically softball and was a Georgia Bulldogs fan. Of all her many passions, she loved spending time with her grandchildren the most. Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by her husband, Charlie “Sam” Garrett; two sons, Brian Reynolds, and his wife Debbie, and Kevin Reynolds, and his wife Kristy, all of LaGrange; stepson, Charlie Garrett, Jr., and his wife Beth, of LaGrange; two brothers; David Peacock, of Manchester, and Bill Peacock, and his wife Kathy, of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina; stepbrother, Terry Geter, and his wife Beth, of Sharpsburg, Georgia; grandchildren, Brandon Reynolds, Jamie Reynolds, Kelly Carlisle, Kimberly Reynolds, Justin Garrett, and Chelsea Garrett; as well as four great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Garrett will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, 93 Prather-Barnes Road, Manchester, GA, 31816 with the Rev. Cleve Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Meriwether Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
