Shirley Ann Lackey, 75, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Lackey was born Aug. 30, 1943, in LaGrange, Georgia.  She was one of 10 children born to the late Lee Quillian Yearta and Claudia Lee Lesley Yearta.  Mrs. Lackey was a member of Callaway Baptist Church and was employed with the Troup County School System, Ethel Kight School for 22 years before retiring.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas M. Lackey, Sr.; five children, Deborah A. (David) Traylor, Marvin L. Lackey, Molly J. (Alton Sivell) Lackey, Douglas M. Lackey Jr. and Chris D. (Adena) Lackey; 11  grandchildren, Tiffany Holland, Logan Lord, Robby Baker, Jason Wells, Jeremy Wells, Nathan Baker, Jessica Wells, Brandy Prestridge, Catelin Lackey, Lacie Lackey and Lanie Lackey; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Leon Yearta, James Yearta, Brenda Yearta and Lorine McCoulard; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Mark Peak officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
