No injuries were reported after an armed robbery occurred at the Pony Express on Vernon Road Sunday night. 

According to a press release from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect with a gun approached the victim and told her to give him everything she had.

The suspect then fled with the victim’s purse, and nothing was taken from the store. According to the press release, the victim went to another location and then called 911. 

The suspect was described as African American and was wearing a black zip-up jacket, gray pants, white tennis shoes, a black bandanna and another bandanna covering his mouth.
