Troup High’s basketball teams will play their home openers today, with McIntosh coming to town for the doubleheader.

The girls’ game will tip off at 6 p.m., with the boys’ game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

While it will be the regular-season opener for the Lady Tigers, the Tigers began their season with a 53-46 road loss to the Opelika Bulldogs on Nov. 19.

Seniors Quevo McFarland and Brandon Smith led Troup with 19 and 14 points, respectively, and Gabriel Cofield scored 13 points.

Troup was supposed to host Kendrick on Friday, but those games have been postponed since the football team is playing the same day.

Also today, LaGrange High’s team will continue their seasons with a doubleheader against Northside-Columbus, with the girls’ game starting at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game to follow.
