Seven members of the Callaway High softball team earned a spot on the all-Region 5-AA team.

Three Callaway players made the first team, including seniors Oeisha Jenkins and Lydia Bartlett, as well as junior Leijorey Sanders.

Jenkins was Callaway’s top pitcher the past two seasons, and she was also a key member of the lineup.

Bartlett was Callaway’s catcher last season, and she came through with key hits during the season, including a two-run home run against Heard County in the Region 5-AA tournament.

Sanders is an outfielder, and she did a stellar job from the leadoff position in the lineup.

Making the second team for Callaway were Alora Vetsavong, Jasmine Dukes, Kourtney Grier and Lexi Furgerson.

Dukes is the only senior among those four players.
