GICH asking for public participation on future housing plans

In partnership with the Troup County Center for Strategic Planning, the planning departments of Troup County, LaGrange, Hogansville and West Point are inviting everyone in the community to participate in current plans for the future of housing throughout Troup County.

The public is invited to participate in determining our community’s future through housing by taking a quick online survey.

To access the survey, go to Surveymonkey.com/r/TroupHousing.

Responses are anonymous but important in helping the group to understand the community’s housing inventory.

The county and its municipalities are undertaking a comprehensive housing study to examine current housing supply and future housing needs. The survey seeks opinions on what is available and what is needed when it comes to housing in Troup County.

The Troup County Center for Strategic Planning along with Troup County and the cities of LaGrange, Hogansville and West Point are participants in the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing. GICH is a three-year program of collaboration and technical assistance related to housing and community development. The objective of the initiative is to help communities create and launch a locally based plan to meet their housing needs.
