A LaGrange man was shot in the back at the 100 block of Beaman Street Sunday at 1:38 p.m. According to a LaGrange Police Department press release, police found the victim semi-conscious on a neighbor’s porch.

“All we know is that he was shot, ran to a neighbor’s house and said he needed help,” said LPD Sgt. William Nelson, Monday morning. “Another neighbor said that they saw two individuals leaving the location in a dark colored SUV.”

Nelson said they haven’t been able to speak to the victim.

“We tried to speak with that victim this morning, and he said that he’s not speaking with us today,” Nelson said.
