Mr. Hollis Glen Upchurch, age 84, of Thomaston, passed away on Dec. 14, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Upchurch was born on Aug. 9, 1934, in Heard County. He retired from Georgia Pacific.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ales Glenn Upchurch and Eula Mae Green Upchurch; his birth mother, Ollie Green Upchurch; wife, Patty Stillwell Upchurch; his daughter, Stephanie Miller; sister, Harmel Tibbets; brother, Frank Upchurch. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Marty Upchurch (Peggy), Terrie Holcomb (Johnnie), Darlene Norred (Kevin) and Toni Hardy (Carl Lee); brothers, A.G. Upchurch; sisters, Doris Dorris (Alan), Barbara Preavy (Gary) and June Upchurch White; 20 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; extended family and friends. 

Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the Higgins Lagrange Chapel. Entombment followed at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
