They’ll give the bus a workout this week.

The LaGrange Lady Grangers will play three games in three days in the Greenberg & Price Christmas Tournament that will be held at Woodland High in Stockbridge.

First up for LaGrange will be today’s game against Stockbridge, with tip-off set for 1 p.m. at Woodland.

The Lady Grangers will play again on Friday and Saturday.

The other teams participating are Clarkston, McIntosh, KIPP, Alcovy, Morrow, Chamblee and Woodland.

It will be a busy three days for LaGrange as it prepares for the start of region play next week.

“It’s probably my last look at really experimenting with different lineups and different things that I want to see, different groups of people playing together,” LaGrange head coach Stephen Tuck said. “And that’ll be three games, back-to-back-to-back. So it’s a different dynamic, a different challenge that you’ve got to be able to face.”

Last week, LaGrange went 2-0 in the War Eagle Classic with wins over Cedar Grove and Elite Scholars Academy.

Despite losing its two leading scorers from last season, LaGrange is off to a quick start with a 7-3 record.

“I’m just proud of the way the play together,” Tuck said. “People are starting to find themselves, and people are starting to know their role, and understand their role, and they play so hard, and so together. They enjoy when each other has success on the court, and I love that about them.”

LaGrange begins Region 5-AAAA play on Jan. 4 against Central-Carroll.
