Lawrence Wayne “Larry” Johnson, age 86, of LaGrange, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. He was born on May 3, 1932, to the late Paul Johnson and Verdie Mae Smith Johnson in LaGrange. Mr. Lawrence loved the outdoors, he loved to dance, and never met a stranger. He worked at Milliken and Company as a lab technician.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Paul Stanley Johnson; sisters, Marshal Baxter, Kathryn Beacham. Survivors include his sister, Tina Perryman; nephew, Steve Perryman; nieces, Vicki Beacham, Stephanie Busby, Paulet Perryman, Connie Perryman; great niece, Marley Busby; cousins, Syvil Cole, Glenna Talbert; friends, Carol Payne Sandefur, Marian Payne Dixon, Anita Payne Laney; caregiver, Russell Pilgrim; friends, Gwen Lukemire, Irma Roberts; extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel with Father Tim Gadziala as chief celebrant.
