The City of LaGrange is advising the public that the tornado siren located on Country Club Road at Lane Circle will be relocated to Country Club Road at Redline Alley.

City crews plan to move the tornado siren in the next several weeks due to construction of The Thread on Country Club Road.

The siren will also be mounted on a 65-foot pole from a 55-foot pole due to elevation loss.

The City of LaGrange has nine tornado sirens throughout the city. Unincorporated Troup County has 14, the City of West Point has five, and the City of Hogansville has two sirens. Construction to extend The Thread out Country Club Road is ongoing.
