Clarence Oliver “Chuck” Cummings III, of LaGrange, passed away on Dec. 27, 2018 at the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center. He was born on Feb. 28, 1961, to Glenda Hall Cummings and the late Clarence Oliver “Bud” Cummings Jr. in Gadsden, Alabama. He worked at Conaway Electrical Service for 23 years as the director of environmental health and safety.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tracy Sheridan Cummings; son, Clarence Oliver “Chadd” Cummings, IV (Tiffany); daughter, Brandi Cummings; sisters, Dawn Coker (Tom), Benè Knowles (Woody), Kim Hearn (Kelly), Holly Jones (Marc), Melanie Keith (Jerry); grandchildren, Dillian Cummings, Cameron Cummings, Clarence Oliver “Casen” Cummings, V; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends; and his K9 companion, Georgia.

Family will have visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at the Higgins Lagrange Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Michael Billingsley officiating. Interment will follow at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
