Emmett Philips passed away Friday.

He was born Oct. 10, 1935, to Emmett Philips and Rosa Mae Meredith in Troup County, Georgia.

He was previously employed by Callaway Mills, Calumet Plant.

Survivors include his stepdaughter, Dorothy Williams; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.

The family will be at their home at 308 Dix Street.
